GOOD EXCUSE NOT TO BE OUT TRAINING?

Was an intresting day here at gold coast yesterday (actually whole of Australian eastern sea board).
Those international triathletes who were here for the Wolrd Championships last week wouldn’t recognise that these photos are the same place that you raced. Yep that is the beach that the swim started, but you can’t see the Surfers Paradise high rises in the background.
A dust storm has travelled from Sydney to the Gold Coast, creating hazy conditions across the city. September 23, 2009. The conditions looking north from Labrador over the Southport swimming area towards Surfers Paradise.
Measured at seven times that of a “severe” dust storm, The red dust broke records for air pollution, with air particle concentration levels reaching 15,400 micrograms per cubic metre of air at one location. A normal day would see up to 20 micrograms and a bushfire might generate 500 micrograms.
I think this is a great excuse for a days rest from training :) If you want to read about it more or see video visit this story @ http://www.news.com.au/story/0,27574,26117918-421,00.html
