DOPING CONTROLS….HALF A YEARS WORTH
Doing a spring (summer) clean of my study and came across my stash of Doping Control or Drug Test copies for the 8 months.
Thought you may be intrested to see just how often we are tested as a professional triathlete traveling and racing around the globe.
Numerous times in Japan, USA, UK, Spain and of course Australia. As you can see the powers to be should be congratulated as they try their best to keep our sport as clean as possible.
A present as an world ranked elite athlete you are included in a registered testing pool. Everyone in this testing pool have to provide daily routines, race dates and most importantly an hour time slot every day when you will be availible to randomly be tested. If you are not present at that hour time slot you have provided to the testing agency then you are given a strike against you. Three strikes and that is concidered as good as a postive drug test.
As you can see there is a lot that goes on behind the scenes to try and keep the sport as clean as possible.
