Luke Madill has been at the top of BMX here in Australia and the world for many years now, but Also like myself has faced an injury that would have put an end to many riders careers. But Luke wasn’t going to let a broken back and neck stop him, and it’s that kind of determination that gets riders a long way in Sport. If you ask any kid in Australian BMX who their favourite rider is, a lot of them would say Luke Madill. Add to that that he has been a 2 time national 4X champ, as well as 2nd numerous times, and it shows what a solid all around bike rider he is. Any race you go to, you know Madill will be going fast, theres so many top riders that will go fast one weekend on a track that might suit them, then not so fast the next, but Luke is always fast, and one of the main guys to beat. 1. who is Luke Madill? A bad ass mother who don’t take know crap out of nobody, is what i tell myself. But actually the complete opposite. 2. favourite thing to do in the off-season? What’s an off season. We never have one racing BMX so i’ll get back to you when we do. 3. favorite sport other than BMX/MTB? Like to have a hit of golf and tennis but these days don’t get time to do to much other then ride a bike. 4. what you wanted to be when you were a kid? A park Ranger in Zoo and Cru Jones 5. when did you realize you were fast? When i got my training wheels off. (I cant remember but i would of felt fast). 6. when did you realize you were really fast? After i started to consistently win some big races. 7. something you want but cant have? Billion Dollars 8. something you have but dont want? Diarrhoea 9. result you are most happy about? Few Elite BMX and MTB national wins,Past Elite World Champs 8th and 3rd. 10. plans for after riding? I’m getting a lot more interested in coaching, strength and conditioning.
