HAMBURG WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP RACE – DNF

Well Hamburg didn’t go anything like I expected. I will just put it down to having a “bad day”. No excuses, I just didn’t have it. I tried like usual to put myself into the right positions throughout the race but once there I couldn’t capitalise on it with either my arms initially and then my legs in bike and run.

Initially I flew away at the beginning of the run but slowly I was being eaten up by the field until I was literally jogging, that’s was the point I made the decision that it would be smarter to wait for another day which thankfully comes in 7 days with next round of World Championship in London next Sunday.

Training has been going well and I was person who least expected to have a bad one this weekend, so fingers crossed that by next Sunday I am back racing towards the front.

Back to home to normal routine in France today and then will leave again on Thursday to head for London. Going to be another hot week here.

Also a big thanks for the good luck wishes and support for the race last week.

Tough luck mate, still good to see you didn’t over cook yourself and will be flying for London. Have a great race. – Patrick
