MID SEASON UDATE FROM EUROPE
Hey all!
Just arrived in Hamburg, Germany to prepare for the next Rd of the World Championship series raring to go. This brings a close to the last 5 week break from racing after a great start to the season. Sitting 3rd in the World Championship after not finishing off the podium since starting the World Champ Series. Different person has beaten me each race, so maybe this time I can stand on the top?
Managed to even get a chance to skip up with the family to Paris for a bit of R&R a few weekends ago. Took my daughter Chloee to EuroDisney and was defiantly worth the trip, but a little disappointing compared to the Tokyo Disney park we took her to at the end of last year. Other than that I believe I have consolidated well in training on my early season racing form…..time will tell.
Has been very, very hot in home town of Aix-Les-Bains, France over the past few weeks. Left there yesterday and was 36deg. The Tour De France has passed by the area over the past 2 stages, then started in the neighbouring town of Chambery yesterdays stage. Bastille Day (French National Day) here yesterday also. Had a heap of fireworks ready to join in and Chloee picks that day crash to sleep early way before it gets dark at around 10:30pm. I’ll wait….now we are away she will be up till midnight!
Thanks for all the support from back in Australia and to those based around the rest of the globe. Hopefully I can be in touch again after the weekends race with exciting news!
Not sure when ONE HD will show back in Australia, but don’t forget you can watch highlights on the web early Sunday (Aust. Time) @ http://www.triathlon.org
Try and catch you all soon,
Courtney

Hey Atko
Sorry man about the call the other day. I didn’t know your where abouts and hopefully the girls didn’t wake up
How have things been overseas?
I am looking forward to the day you focus on long distance races 2/80/20 as I think that distance would suit you to the ground…..better than Olympic where anyone can win on their day sub 30min run – wow
Take care mate and hope to talk soon when you return
Good luck at the races buddy and pass on my hello to Kinga as well. Kristy says to say hi
