No bikes or snowboard packed. Just the wife, two kids, a few cameras and a drone.
End of year holiday = Cruising time. First extended time on the high seas!
Our 10 day round trip from Sydney had 4 days hanging out on Vanuatu’s pacific islands. All aboard P&O’s newest addition to their five ship fleet: PACIFIC EDEN.

ISLAND STOPS
The weather gods played kind and we were able to get of on all the stops. These 15 second video snippits speak for themselves. The island waters were as clear as anything I’ve seen around the globe on my travels.

3 RANDOM THINGS FROM ABOARD THE PACIFIC EDEN
1. Pulled Pork Burgers
The $3 pulled pork burger from the Grill at the family pool is the best I’ve eaten anywhere! Don’t worry all restaurants meals are covered in cruise fare. But you don’t get stung on the extras and drinks. Barista coffee on the pool deck each morning $3.50 if you can’t handle the free Nespresso machine.

2. Gym and Elimis Health Club
I confess I snuck in a bit of training. Wife and Kids know I get cranky otherwise. A few jogs on the treadmills. Best view on the ship! Had some fun by attempting to run 20km/h with swell hitting the ship. Now that’s a good agility workout! Hat’s off to the P&O entertainers who dance at the nightly stage shows in rough seas. Also tried my first experience at a bamboo massage. I’m a fan, as good as any deep tissue rub I’ve had.

3. Kids Club
My 9 year old Chloee would wake up, run down the 150m hallway. Tackle a few flights of stairs to be first to see the days kids club program. My 3 year old not so much!
Our holiday is all about the kids and the cruise was a real winner for them. Novelty of living, sleeping and swimming on a ship goes over well with the kids.
