THE ANSWER TO STABLE GOPRO FOOTAGE
You catch an epic little GoPro clip of the kids tackling each other. Only to find out after it looks like you were standing on one of those dodgy TV direct fat loss vibrating machines.
The fix? My FedEx Man delivered! Meet the ZhiYun Z1 Evolution Gimbal for GoPro Hero 3+/4
Seriously I’m now happy handing Leo my 4-year-old the camera knowing I’ll get usable stuff.
I’ve tried weighted camera stabilizers in the past. Both with GoPros & DSLRs. For smoothness and ease I believe the extra cost of the Evolution is worth going for. My better half @AWOLFAMILY agrees.
EASY TO USE
The batteries last longer than I’ve ever needed on a short trip… I believe quoted about 3+hrs on full charge. A little joystick smoothly pans camera up and down. I noticed on instructions that there are different modes to change the way gimbal reacts / follows. But honestly I haven’t tried. I switch it on, press the joystick for a few seconds to start. It just works. I’ve never had a need to learn anything else about it.
*Obviously the Z1 Evolution is not on the drone but all the ground footage taken with GoPro Hero4 Silver / Z1 Evolution.
*Disclaimer…I was given the Z1 Evolution to test by ZhiYun. Regardless I wouldn’t get by without one anymore.
